To be honest, the real reason TVRs didn't have airbags was that they couldn't be sure they wouldn't go off at random due to electrical gremlins. They didn't put ABS on their cars because non-working ABS is an MOT failure. And stability control would just be silly - if you come out of a corner still with all four wheels, the engine, and most major body panels, that's a win for a TVR.
My dad test drove a Griffith back in the day. Broke on the test drive.
